MAKE THE SCHOOL BUS RIDERS SAFE, EDUCATE!!
|
I would like to introduce you to a program for the students in the Elementary Schools, Private Schools, Pre Schools or any facility that has School Bus Passengers or soon to be passengers.
The program is about Safety and the SCHOOL BUS. From the time the riders are getting ready to leave for the BUS STOP to when they ARRIVE HOME. In some states it is the LAW that students have classroom instruction on BUS SAFETY. I have a fun program that will teach them what it takes to make the BUS RIDE safe.
Topics Covered:
* WHAT IS THE DANGER ZONE
* WHY THAT IS THE NAME FOR IT
* THE CROSSING RULES AND CROSSING SIGNAL
* LOADING/UNLOADING PROPERLY
* HOW TO WAIT FOR THE BUS
* SEAT BELTS AND PROPER USE
* PROPER BEHAVIOR ON THE BUS
* BACK PACK: THE DO'S AND DON'TS
* STRINGS AND THINGS ( CLOTHES/TOYS )
* EMERGENCY EXITS
* ETC.
The program will take about ONE HOUR and the class size should be no more than TWO CLASSROOMS at a time. There is a short video from the NATIONAL SAFETY COUNCIL called WALK-RIDE-WALK. There will be fun class participation and handouts they can take home to color with the parents.
Every student will recieve a MEMBERSHIP CARD in MRS. BEE SAFE RIDERS CLUB, and a pom pom BUMBLE BEE for them to take home.
Parents are also encouraged to come and observe. There is plenty for them to learn also. Not everyone understands the rules of the bus, in and around it.
Let ME teach the passengers all about it.
BEHAVIOR is mentioned in the class because it is very important that the DRIVER OF A SCHOOL BUS get all the help they can. DISCIPLINE problems on a SCHOOL BUS make for a dangerous trip. The DRIVER REALLY NEEDS TO BE ABLE TO CONCENTRATE ON THE DRIVING, THE STOPS AND THE PASSENGERS IN THE DANGER ZONE.

Over the past several years, there has been a decrease in the NATIONAL FATALITIES during the loading and unloading of the SCHOOL BUS. 1997-98 School Year had 10. In previous decades, the NATIONAL AVERAGE OF DEATHS has been twice that amount. This decrease happens only because of EDUCATION brought to PASSENGERS, TEACHERS AND PARENT. WOULDN'T IT BE NICE IF YOU WERE THE ONE RESPONSIBLE FOR SAVING THE LIFE OF ONE OF YOUR PASSENGERS? IT IS MONEY WELL SPENT. NO VALUE CAN BE PLACED ON A CHILDS LIFE. THINK OF THE EXPENSE INVOLED IN A NEGLIGENT SUITE FOR NOT EDUCATING YOUR RIDERS.It takes team effort to make it all work. SO LET ME HELP YOU DO YOUR PART IN MAKING THE NUMBER OF FATALITIES ZERO. WE CAN'T SETTLE FOR ANYTHING LESS.

I HAVE BEEN IN THE SCHOOL BUS TRANSPORTATION BUSINESS FOR 25 YEARS. IN CHARGE OF ALL ASPECTS INVOLVING SAFE TRANSPORTATION OF THE PASSENGERS ON A SCHOOL BUS. Stay within the LAW and take the necessary steps to HELPING MAKE ALL THE RIGHT THINGS HAPPEN. .
